Tree Removal In Harper’s Choice

Did you know that according to the Village Covenants, residents of Harper’s Choice may not take down a tree larger than 6″ in diameter without the written approval of the Columbia Association and the Village Architectural Committee? If you are considering the removal of a tree that requires approval, you must submit an application to the Village office, and they will contact the Columbia Association to make a site visit and verify that the tree may be removed. Most requests for removal are approved. In addition, in most cases when an approved tree is removed, the stump must be removed or ground out and the area restored.
