Ongoing Volunteers Needed At Swansfield Elementary School

Fitness Friday involves parent or community volunteers that sign up for 30 minute shifts, or more. Volunteers encourage kids during recess to run or walk the 1/4 mile walking path behind Swansfield ES. Every other lap kids run, they earn a token. Volunteers hand out these tokens behind the portables and monitor kids on the path. Each shift needs at least two volunteers to happen. The kids love it and are excited to see us on Fridays. Many of them wish we could be there every day!

Volunteers should arrive 10 minutes before a scheduled shift to allow time to check in at the front office with a drivers license and walk around to the back of the school. The coordinator will ensure one person gets the supply cart out ahead of time from the cafeteria closet, and will assign someone to put it away.
